Before Mohamed Salah, the Pharaohs were not that much popular in the international football arena. In the recent time, whoever knows a bit about football, especially European football, knows Egypt is the national team of Mohammed Salah.

Egypt was a member of the 2nd World cup back in 1934. That was their first and last ever World Cup appearance till 1990. After another 28 years since 1990, the Pharaohs have qualified for their 3rd World Cup in this year.

Egypt qualified from the group E of African region. They were the topper from their group and they were also the first nation from their continent to achieve the qualification to play World Cup 2018. They left behind Uganda, Ghana and Congo in their group.

In fact, before Salah, there were not too many stuff to talk about the Egyptian football. Of course, Salah is a great representative of his nation to the football world, but he is also just part of his national team. There are some other names also exists on their team you have to watch out for.

Saudi Arabia is about to play in their 5th World Cup in Russia. Their first World Cup appearance was back in 1994, in which they reached the second round of the tournament. After that, they have consistently qualified for the next three World Cups as well, but have never been able to reach the second round again.

They couldn’t able to qualify for the last two World Cups. This year they have qualified from the group B of Asia along with Japan.
