For the last couple of years, the cricket fans have witnessed this type of immaturity for 5 times. Fans can easily remember the Nidahas trophy.

Bangladesh Captain Mashrafee was also not satisfied with the players’ job.  He said, “This is so frustrating. We needed 14 runs off 12 balls when we had 6 wickets in hand. This is not the first time that we have lost a match so closely.”

He also pointed “batsmen couldn’t pick singles in the last moments. Besides, the fielding was not up to mark. We let West Indies pick 22 doubles which are not accepted by any means.”

The fans also don’t know how many times Bangladesh will not be able to win close matches. The fans can also accuse Mushfiq to play such big shots when you can easily win the match picking up singles.

After winning the toss Bangladesh chose to bowl first. It seemed like Bangladesh took the right decision when Mashrafee broke the opening partnership of West Indies by making Lewis out.

After that, Miraz also didn’t let Gayle be dangerous. West Indies got into pressure losing their two top order batsmen.

But the partnership between Powell and Hetmyer helped them to fight back again. In the meantime, Hetmyer scored a ton which helped West Indies to score 271 runs.

Rubel Hossain took 3 wickets. Though he was too expensive. He gave 61 runs in his 9 overs. Besides, both Shakib and Mustafiz took 2 wickets.

In reply, Bangladesh started pretty well.

In their 4.4 overs batting, they scored the fastest fifty. It was like a tornado.

After the departure of Anamul in 32 runs, Shakib came to bat. Both Shakib and Tamim handled the West Indian bowlers nicely. After 20 overs they managed to score 116/1.

But the partnership didn’t last long. After scoring half-century each, both the settled batsmen couldn’t stay long on the pitch. The as usual collapse happened for the team.

In due course, Mushfiq and Mahmudullah kept the runs going. Suddenly, their misunderstanding cost Bangladesh a wicket. Mahmudullah got run out.

From that point, Bangladesh went to the back foot. When Bangladesh needed 8 runs off 7 balls Sabbir got out with a low full toss ball. Mushfiq also followed Sabbir in the very first ball of the last over.

Then Mosaddek and Mashrafee couldn’t fulfill the target and once again boat on the shore was buried.
