After a devastating defeat against France, the last month Netherland will take on Germany for the first win of the UEFA Nations League at Cruijff Arena on Saturday 13 October.
The performance in France has encouraged Orange Boss Ronald Koeman, who feels his side can beat Germany if they play at their level. he said the feelings that you can achieve something is one but actually achieving something is two.
We have the perfect opportunity for that on Saturday. when I see the development of the group how they work together on this kind of performance then I have a very good feeling about it. The goal is to get a result that is the ultimate reward for what you are doing.
It is a very important maths for us. We feel that we are back on the road. We have had good preparation and we are ready. We have worked hard to get prepare ourselves as we could. We want to play a bit better game for our goal than against France. I think we are going to win if we reach the level that I expected from them.
Germany Is still recovering them from their shock exit from the world cup in the group stage and also looking to win their first UEFA Nation’s League in Amsterdam after drawing their opening match against France 0-0.
Head coach Joachim is also under pressure after the summers failure. But he knows that a win over their opponents will build some confidence for the trip to France next week.
Netherland and Germany faced each other 45 times. They played their first match in 1910. Till now the Netherlands have won 10 of those clashes but after 2002 they have not beaten Germany yet.
The most famous clashes between the two Nation was in the 1974 world cup final where the Netherlands won against Germany by 2-1. In the 1988 European championship and feisty clash at the 1990 World Cup is also memorable.
The two teams last faced each other in 2012 which was played in Amsterdam and was a 0-0 draw match.
The two think is feeling positive at the moment because there is a number of fresh talents coming through while Koeman’s side was only narrowly defeated by France.
Germany’s national team seem to be at a low. Which is also affecting Bayern Munich, who are totally out of form in the Bundesliga. Ajax also took a 1-1 draw away from Munich last week in the Champions League match which the Dutch Side should have won.
Orange can use Ajax performance in the Saturday game. And if they could able to do that they could win against Germany on Saturday. Mexico and South Korea prove at the world cup that this Germany site can be defeated. The Netherlands should be looking to end their 16year wait to defeat the Rivals.
And if they could win on Saturday game then Ronald payment is right and the Netherlands are on the right track.
