The Indian Premier League (IPL) is one of the most popular cricket tournaments in the world and recently an auction for 2023 season has been held. Each year, some of the best cricket players from all over the world come together to compete in this exciting tournament. This year, the IPL will be held in India from April 1 to June 4.
Bangladesh is home to some great cricket players, and unfortunately, many of them have been not featured in the IPL 2023, and also in the past years. Mashrafee was the pioneer of being featured in the early seasons of IPL. Mohammad Ashraful and Abdur Razzak also played but couldn’t perform as world-class and as a result, they were dropped.
Here are three Bangladesh players who are likely to be featured in the upcoming IPL season.
Shakib Al Hasan
Shakib is one of the best cricket players in the world, and he has proved himself time and time again in the IPL. He has played for the Kolkata Knight Riders, winning two titles in 2012 and 2014 for KKR.
He was first released by KKR ahead of the IPL 2023 mini-auction and went unsold in the first round of bidding.

Shakib, who has a base price of Rs 1.5 crore, was expected to generate interest from the franchises but no team showed interest in him in the first round of bidding.
The 33-year-old has been in good form in recent months, scoring runs and picking up wickets in both Test and limited-overs cricket.
However, he has been picked up by KKR again.
Mustafizur Rahman
The Delhi Capitals (DC) have decided to retain Bangladeshi speedster, Mustafizur Rahman, for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the franchise confirmed on Tuesday. He was purchased by Delhi for Rs 2 crore.
He bagged 8 wickets in 8 matches in the last season, conceding 244 runs with an average of more than 30 runs.

“We are delighted to retain Mustafizur Rahman for the IPL 2023. He is a world-class bowler and has been a great asset for us over the last two seasons,” said DC CEO Dhiraj Malhotra.
“Mustafizur is an exciting young talent and we are looking forward to him continuing to deliver strong performances for the Delhi Capitals,” he added.
Litton Das
The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) franchise has bought yet another Bangladeshi player, Litton Das, for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). This is the second Bangladeshi player to be bought by the KKR franchise, after Shakib Al Hasan.

Litton Das is a top-order batsman who has played for Bangladesh in Test, T20, and ODI cricket. He has also played in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
KKR was looking for a wicket-keeper batsman with a low budget, and Litton was in the limelight when he played devastating innings in the T20 World Cup this year against India. The KKR franchise will be hoping that Das can replicate the success of Shakib Al Hasan.
