India vs England Test Match: India Got 27 Runs Lead

Actually, the collapse started to begin from this point. Nobody could have imagined that India would take a single run lead. India lost their 8 wickets within 195 runs.

But on that day Kohli made a record to score 6000 runs in 119 innings among the Indians. Only Sunil Gavaskar has this wonderful record. He made this record when he was playing his 117th innings.

The English captain felt happy when his bowlers were showing good performances. Joe Root perhaps thought he was going to get a lead. But Pujara stood as a wall for India.

Pujara and Ishant Sharma added 32 runs in the 9th wicket partnership. Then in the last wicket, Pujara and Bumrah added more 46 runs. In the meantime, Pujara scored a ton. This ton helped India to get lead.
