I must say, this year’s standing of European league tables are going in a dictatorship way. In the number of occasions, one team remains untouched by others. Let’s check out what is the current look of those massive popular leagues.
Barclays English Premier League
Round thirty has been finished. But the rat race of championship is already been done by Man. City. Currently, they are 16 points ahead of their city neighbor Man. United. Pep Guardiola’s team holds their dominating character throughout the tournament. There is no upset done by any underdogs in the last round. So, the standing remains the same. Also, the Egyptian superman Mohammed Salah holds his position for the top score with 28 goals… He has surprised everybody with his consistent scoring abilities.
Spanish La Liga
After round 29, it seems like Barcelona is moving towards their 25th La Liga title. They are doing it in their own way. Barca is 11 points ahead of table’s 2nd Atletico Madrid. They had left Real Madrid way behind in the championship run. The only race left for La Liga is the position for the top scorer. Meanwhile, CR7 scored his 50th career hat-trick last week. Now he is in the 2nd position with 22 goals alongside Messi’s 25 goals.
Italian Serie A
This is the only league, where the race is still on. Napoli is going neck and neck with giant Juventus. There is only a two-point gap between those two. Still, 9 more matches left to go in this race. Will Juventus have their 7th consecutive title? Or Napoli will be able to restrict them? Only time will say. Here is another cat and mouse race is going on between Ciro Immobile and Mauro Icardi. They are standing respectively in the 1st and 2nd positions of the top list with 24 and 22 goals.
Bayern Munich is on the way to their 6th consecutive and 28th in total Bundesliga title, that’s for sure. The difference between them and the team on second spot Schalke 04 is 17 points, and 11 matches are left to go. But, there is a tough battle going on for the second place between Schalke 04 and Borussia Dortmund. Here, Robert Lewandowski is also ruling the topper list with his 23 goals.
French Ligue 1
Here is another story of a one-sided league table. Paris Saint Germain is on the top with a 17 points distance from Monaco. Though PSG has played one match more than Monaco, it will not make a huge impact on the league table. in the meantime, Edinson Cavani is making the most of his teammate Naymer Jr’s injury. Cavani is on the top of the scoring sheet with 24 goals.
