In this second quarterfinal of Copa America 2019 between Argentina and Venezuela, Both sides are strong enough to take their team to the semi-finals. Although, Argentina has remained very fortunate this season as they have somehow reached the final-eight spot. But Venezuela’s performance was good enough to convince everyone to bet for them in this contest.
La Albiceleste opened their Copa campaign against Colombia at Fonte Nova Arena stadium, where they faced a disappointing defeat with the margin of 0-2. It was Lionel Messi’s first game in Argentine T-shirt almost after a year’s break. It was such a poor display of football from the whole Argentine team, especially the defense was so shaky as a statue of sand.
In their second Group B match against Paraguay, the Argentine squad secured 1-1 draw at Mineirão Stadium. In their last group meeting against Qatar, Argentina hardly managed to earn 3 points by a marginal 2-0 victory. With 4 points in 3 matches, they managed to hold the 2nd spot in Group B and make their way to the quarterfinal of Copa America 2019.
On the other side, Venezuela also started off with a goalless draw against Group A mates Peru at Arena do Gremio. In their second group stage clash against the hosting Brazil, Venezuela again secured an upsetting 0-0 draw at Fonte Nova Arena. Though in their final group-stage battle against Bolivia, La Vinotinto bounced back and grabbed a brilliant 3-1 win at famous Mineirão Stadium.
