England captain Jos Buttler spoke at a pre-series press conference in Mirpur yesterday, stating that their plan for the series against Bangladesh is based around the upcoming World Cup in India.

He highlighted that the conditions in Bangladesh are similar to those in India and they are looking forward to testing themselves.

During the 2015 World Cup, Bangladesh beat England in a thrilling match, advancing to the quarter-finals and leaving England out. Jos Buttler, who played in the match, acknowledged the impact it had on the England team’s approach and eventual success in winning the World Cup four years later.

The Bangladesh team, led by Tamim Iqbal, has an impressive record at home, having not lost any of their last 13 ODI series. In their last series, they defeated India, which is a significant achievement.

England captain Jos Buttler acknowledged the challenge of playing against Bangladesh on their home turf, stating that they are difficult to beat and had recently beaten India.

Butler mentioned that the experience of playing in the conditions of Bangladesh will be useful for the England team. Some of the players in the team have experience of playing in the Bangladesh Premier League.

According to Sport NewsBD experts, the England team beat Bangladesh in 2016 under the leadership of Butler, which is boosting their confidence in this series.
