Bangladesh vs West Indies 2nd Test: Day 2

Day 2 Report: 

Bangladesh started their day 2-morning session from 259 for 5 and they kept adding runs to their scoreboard until they reached 508. Thanks to Mahmudullah’s third test century in the last 3 matches.

In the first session, the way Shakib Al Hasan was batted, it seemed like he had the hurry to score as many runs as possible before lunch.

In the sixth wicket partnership, he and Mahmudullah scored 111 runs until Shakib scored 80 off 139 balls and then got out.

After Shakib’s departure, Liton Das came to bat and he also followed Shakib’s footsteps, attacking the West Indies bowlers which helped Bangladesh to manage 125 runs in 25 overs.

Liton also couldn’t turn his half-century into century, just made 54 off 62 balls and left Mahmudullah just soon after the lunch break.

That was seventh down on 393 runs. Mehidy couldn’t last long. In this crucial phase, Taijul and Mahmudullah made a partnership of 54 runs and saved Bangladesh’s dream to score big and in the meantime, Mahmudullah made his third century.

However, Bangladesh were able to manage 508/10. In reply, West Indies couldn’t start well and they just crumbled against spinners. For Bangladesh, Shakib brought the first breakthrough. West Indies lost their 5 wickets just for 29 runs. Shakib took two wickets and Miraz took 3 wickets.
