Afghanistan beats Bangladesh in T20 Asia Cup 2022

As a surprise result, Afghanistan has beaten Bangladesh in the T20 Asia Cup 2022. This is the first time Afghanistan has ever won the Asia Cup matches consecutively, and they did it in style, winning by 7 wickets. They are now into the Super 4 stage.

Batting first, Bangladesh started poorly as Mujeeb hit Bangladesh hard in the powerplay. He quickly became one of the most dangerous bowlers in the game. He was able to take a wicket in each of his first three overs.

The celebration of taking wickets for him started when he first hit Mohammad Naim’s leg stump with a carrom ball and then in his second over when Anamul tried to play something different which didn’t work out for him rather got himself out and made his team struggle.

Afghanistan was at 62 for 3 after 13 overs, but the partnership between Ibrahim Zadran and Najibullah Zadran turned the game on its head. With Ibrahim Zadran’s 42 off 41 balls and Najibullah Zadran’s 43 not out off 17 balls, they were both unbeaten.

Bangladesh bowlers tried to give a fight with this lowest score and they had the game in their control for the first 10 overs. But in the 17th and 18th over, two fast bowlers conceded 17 and 22 runs which seemed to be a turning point according to the Sport News BD experts.
