AFC Qualifiers Round: Bangladesh is happy with the defeat against Bahrain

It was previously assumed that Bangladesh wouldn’t win against Bahrain in the AFC qualifiers round. But it was also not expected that Bahrain would defeat them by a narrow margin.

The reason was simple. Bahrain has played in the last five AFC main rounds five times and there is a ranking gap of 100 between Bangladesh and Bahrain. So, the assumption we made was logical.

According to the Sport News BD experts, there were a few more areas where Bangladesh was far behind. The first point our experts said was Physical Strength. Bahrain players had an average height of 6.2 feet whereas Bangladesh had an average height of 5.9 feet.

The second point our experts found out which one can adapt after a lot of hard work and proper guidance was Tactics. Bahrain was far ahead while talking about tactics, ball control, man-marking, etc.

So, the result between the two unequal powers was nothing to be surprised by. Rather, we can praise the Bangladesh team has played well in their first match of the AFC qualifiers round.

Bangladesh goalkeeper Anisur again became a faithful shield under the bar. Despite wanting to score against him, Anisur has defended the team at least five to six times. His goalkeeping performance caught everyone`s eye.

Bahrain played some passes in the offensive third. While passing, they put Bangladesh’s defense inside the labyrinth.

However, within the first 30 minutes, they did not find a place to shoot. Anisur got ready after taking it out several times.

Allegedly, the photographers aimed all the cameras at the post in Bangladesh. In the 34th minute, the photographers finally got the goal scene. Ali Haram, who played in the Kuwait League, took a 1-0 lead with a great header.

Goalkeeper Anisur did not understand. A perfect goal. In the 42nd minute, midfielder Kamil Al Aswad made it 2-0 with a great long-range shot.

In this game, when Bangladesh came close to the goal, it was Jamal Bhuiyan’s free kick in the 31st minute, which was very wide at the side post. Before the game, the Bangladesh captain was optimistic about upsetting Bahrain in the AFC qualifiers round.
